picked up a 222. chrome and trim is great shape and think i'll be leaving it as-is. want to finish the sides of the cabinet though (wood part). would rather do it the correct way and remove the trim pieces enough so I can mask them off and have access to the whole piece of wood siding, instead of just masking over the trim. based on brief research, this task is as easy as climbing into a deep dark hole and trying to get out with no rope. so; I'm here asking if anyone has advice or help on how to do so.
also, if I dig in far enough to remove this trim, I may go even further and tear it all off to gain access and clean/replace the "speaker grill" as one side has a bit of rust or discoloration on it. to do this task it looks like the whole front of the box comes apart.
I realize these tasks are likely difficult, but I want it done right. the right way is never quick and easy; is what it is. so, if there's any helpful hints, advice, or pointers anyone has on how to do this process, I'm all ears.
thanks kevin

Hi Kevin, Are you good at jig-saw puzzles ? If so, consider this the most challenging of the bunch, and start "un-screwin' " LOL- Ron Rich

The advice I was given for my 100R was to start at the top and work your way down. I don't know if this goes for the 222 also.

Hi Rick / Kevin, Probably very good advice ! I can remember seeing the "bottoms" of many Seeburg cabinets sitting on the factory "wood shop" floor, waiting to be pushed out to the next area, to get the rest of the cabinet parts installed on it, as they were built from the bottom up --- Ron Rich

Thanks guys. Actually tore into this last night. About 2-2.5 hrs and it’d all tore apart down to the wood. Took the back door off and mech out too. Wasn’t too bad. Seems people make it out to be worse than it really was, in my opinion. Anyway, did you use to work for seeburg Ron? You mentioned seeing cabinets on the wood shop assembly floor
Thanks Kevin
