I realize this is probably a difficult question to answer, but wanted to know what an unrestored condition but decent shape and complete M100c machine usually sells for on average? I've wanted one for a bit now after being bitten by the juke "bug" and a local seller here has about a half dozen machines that I may go to look at over the weekend. Sounds like the least expensive one is about $800 and he says that one is a Wico conversion, and the others range from about $1200 to $1900 unrestored. One other question I have as I'm a 'newbie' on these machines are the side pillars. Do all 'c' machines have those animated light tubes in the pillars, or was that an option? Some of the pictures he sent looked to have side pillars that were metallic looking. Of course part of the attraction with the restored machines I've drooled over on videos and pictures have the animated light tube type pillars. Is it possible to retrofit any 'c' machine to add these? I believe his most expensive $1900 unit looked to potentially have the lighted pillars.
I don't want to jump into getting one if these unrestored prices are not typical of what they go for. Thanks!

Tony, If you can tell me the exact cost of an "un-restored" 1953 Chebby is, that's the exact same cost for a 1953 Seeburg C ! Do your homework--find examples of "RESTORED", and "Original" cabinets-- Look at what he's "offering"--sounds as if he's somewhat high,on the low edd, to me--I would not touch a "WICO conversion" with a ten ft Poll---purchase a Service manual package, and you will get the maintenance manual, which will answer the lighted side pilaster question. $ 1900 is a fair price IMHO, for an "original" cabinet with ALL of the proper parts in it--no glass damage. I think the chrome looking pilasters you saw were a replacement for when the originals got broken. Mine are covered with wood grain sticky paper. Mine is also missing the animation parts on the inside. Replacements are available but not cheap.

Hi Lincoln, Yes--the steel pilasters were made by at least one aftermarket company-- I think there is still someone making them ? The clear plastic type, are repro'd, and available from some of the suppliers listed in our FAQ's section here. Ron Rich

I see what I would call a nice original for sale in Souix Falls SD. For $750. His original asking price was $1100. Doubt it will be for sale for too long at that price.
