Hi, I've just found a Rock-Ola 466 'Hide-away' with a 507 'Wallbox' at our local auction room, total cost so far £35 (Pounds Sterling) which includes commission and VAT. I think the wall box was dropped during removal from the wall as the door is in pieces and the plastic screen has broken the groove that it sits in, so some carpentry needed there. The main cabinet may have been bounced at some time as the front of the 'floor' had bowed badly, one wheel mount was starting to crack away. I've constructed a brace out of angle-iron and nut / bolted in to the front of the floor to straighten and strengthen it. I've moved the two front wheels back a bit and closer to the sides to ease the pressure on the floor and counter-sunk a few screws to firmly attach the sides to the floor. Now I think I can at least move it around my workshop without it falling apart! I've not risked firing it up yet!
It came with the Schematic (circuit) diagram so I'll not be completely lost with it.
So, most important question first: Service Manual? I can't see one listed anywhere for the 466.
If there isn't one then I guess another from a different model will be close enough to work with, any suggestions please?
Regards Peter

Hi Peter, Welcome to the "club"-- Check with the sellers listed in our FAQ's section--they should know which model uses the same electronics as that hideaway does--- Ron Rich

Hi Ron,
thanks. I've looked in there twice, seems a lot to take in as I'm not sure what I'm looking for yet.
I'll have another go.

Hi,
yes, it should be simple...but when I tried it I was redirected to Microsoft to log into my account....which I just don't use, ever.
I have email clients on my local PC and that's what I prefer to use so I'll need to find another way of contacting them.
There is a guy around 35 miles from me so that should be my first call, as soon as he's back off holiday.
Regards Peter

The 468 would be the equivalent jukebox (this mainly on the basis that the amplifier (48350-1A) and power supply are the same) but you would also need the 1769 stepper manual and the 507 wallbox manual in order to cover everything! But bear in mind that a lot of what is covered in the jukebox manual isn't applicable to the hideaway unit. The 464 manual might also be OK, the amp is the same but I'm not sure about the power supply because I don't have the parts list for it. Norman.

Hi Peter, I would not bother with "online" stuff, especially in this case--I would directly ASK the guy's listed in our FAQ's section, as they are the producers (or at least copiers) of today's manuals. Ron Rich

Hi Ron,
yes, I've been looking at one of the contacts listed here as he's located close to where I live.
He'd be my preferred supplier if he has what I need as he's only around a 40 minutes drive away.
Regards Peter

update:
I don't have a Wallbox 507...looking for the manaal for it the photographs on the listings looked nothing like what I've got.
Mine is something made by a company called Rainbow Manufacturing in Leeds (UK).
That company seems to have ceased trading, but I found another reference to a company called Kunick Limited...which also seems to have ceased trading.
Then a google search found a Sounds Leisure Wallbox on ebay and the photographs (of the inside and out) look identical to mine.
Searching for 'Sounds Leisure Wallbox' I found the 31 page installation manual free for download from their web-site!
It seems they made a lot of jukeboxes, wallboards, etc, based on AMI / Rowe parts so I have some more research to do there.
Having fun, finding stuff I'd never have throught about a week or so back!
