I came across a real 950 Wurlitzer jukebox complete. Needs mechanical restoration due to sitting for many years. Complete and tight cabnit. Not missing anything. Do not know what to offer. Any help appreciated

An actual Wurlitzer 950 is an amazing find in any condition. Production was very limited and minimal metal parts were used due to the unavailability of metal during WWII. Some parts that were metal prior to WWII were now made of wood such as some tone arm posts, etc.. I expect that may apply to one 950 and not the next. Fortunately, one vendor, for jukebox parts, has reproduced some of the parts such as the Pipes of Pan.
I can only recall even seeing only one of these machines. It sounds like the coin gear may be present. Missing coin gear often may be a warning that a machine has been to Mexico and returned to the USA after years of hard usage. An authentic 950 would be certainly valuable. I haven't any idea how to put a value on it. If I found one I would offer as much as I could afford without going wild and starving Anna and I. Right now, at this "old age" and financial status I would be thinking that a limit of $5,000 would be my absolute top offer even if I could afford more. It might be worth a lot more or less. As everything that is used, condition and completeness is vital to the price. On a 950 I would also add parts availability.
That would depend on actual condition, what parts needed replacement or are missing, location etc. I would not want to risk shipping by conventional carriers. I would consider what parts it does need and the price and availability of those parts. Mechanism and sound system parts would probably not be a serious problem. Coin gear, exterior parts etc. might be nearly impossible. I suppose there are craftsman that could make some of the wooden parts. I would verify vendors listed on this site still had reproduction plastics etc. in stock for this rare machine. Victory Glass used to have some reproduction parts. This is all just my opinion from an old and worn out guy. Everyone has to do what they are comfortable with pricewise and get it for the lowest possible price. Good Luck on your find!
