Hackbar, There is no "sub woofer", there is a woofer and a mid-hi range speaker in a LPC-1. The hi range speaker was an option on that model. Did you swap Left/right inputs around ?? Sounds as if you have a bad amp--which model/CODE (letter), is installed in your phono?

It's the top speaker that's weak (out of two). I swapped the amp outputs, and the speaker is good.
The amp is type TSA3. It's labeled "Transitorized Stereo Amplifier".

Hackbar, Most likely the whole left channel is "out"-- TSA-3's have a "monoralizer" in the bass circuit. Ron Rich

I hear a little bit in the treble. It's not zero. Is that crossover from the bass?
Anything to look for in the amp when rebuilding it? What tends to fail, other than caps? This has all its original caps.
