Hi, I just picked up a second Model M100B and had a couple questions, nothing super important, just curious.
It has a four digit serial number, in the 8400 range, which I would guess makes it an early production model, however there seems to be a date stamped on the rear of 3/6/51 which seems like it would be a later unit if they started building them in 1950.
The noted differences between my two machines (machine #1 missing serial tag) are machine #1, wood coin box, machine #2, metal coin box. Mach #1, scan stop switches mounted in perforated metal divider facing backwards, Mach#2, switches mounted on left mechanism bracket facing forward. Mach #1, rear of mech brackets mounted to top of shelf, Mach #2, mech brackets mounted to rear of cross brace.
Is there any information on when these changes were made?
Thank you!

Hi Eric, They made several "production changes" to the model B's-- I have no data on what was ,when, other then the notes, thru-out the service manual. Ron Rich

Thank you Ron, not a big deal, just kind of curious. One other thing different I found was the record rack, it's much bulkier than usual, like a full cage instead of the more S shaped dividers on my other B, the C also has the S style so I would guess this is an early version and they quickly figured out they didn't need to be so stout and heavy.

Hi Eric, I am un-aware of any differences in the record rack--I have a pretty early version of the B, in commercial service still-- Are the record rack alignments ("adjustments") the same as shown in the manual ? Ron Rich
