Good evening folks.
Let me start this off by introducing myself. My name is Craig and I'm a Jukebox Addict.
I live about an hour north of Toronto Ontario.
I'm a newbie when it comes to Jukeboxes. I just recently got my first one a Rock-Ola 1000-3 Nostalgia but its something I've always wanted and I can tell it will likely not be my last.
When I received it the Jukebox hadn't been plugged in for more than 3 years. When I finally got it home and tested it out, it would power up but the Mech board wasn't getting any power so the selection and carriage motors didn't work. After much studying of the schematic, diagnosing and help from fellow Phonoland Facebook members I narrowed it down to a bad capacitor on the Mech PC Board causing a dead short to ground. This short damaged the voltage regulator and a power resistor in the power supply.
Replaced those parts and now the Jukebox works good as new. Next I plan to remove all fluorescent light fixtures and replace them with high intensity LED light strips.
I also just recently got a few Arcades and Slot Machines to keep the Jukebox company in the Man Cave when its done.
