I have two units doing the same thing. Both play each record in sequence and never stop. It is like the battery test was performed but the tormat never discharges. If left long enough all 160 selections play and then it does it again and again. One DCC was rebuilt a few months ago and ran fine until now. The other has had no work done. I’m in the process of moving so all my manuals are still in a box somewhere. Any idea.where to start troubleshooting this? The only way I know of to cause this is to bridge terminals on the dcc #1&2.

So sometimes I just need to have someone say “okay dummy, did you check the basic”. I had checked the rca cable for continuity and reformed the blades on all three plugs. I had not reformed the socket on the dcc itself. I have always checked these when records work t play. It had not occurred to me that the plugs would also cause not stop playing.
Thanks as always Ron and happy fourth.

Stephen, How are you "re-forming the (RCA) socket" on the DCC itself --I ain't never done that ?? I have cleaned them-- crocus cloth makes 'em shinny like new--- Ron Rich

It was spread way to far apart more like an oval.
I took my blunt nosed pliers and squeezed it back to oval shaped.
It lasted an hour before doing it again. I think there may also be a short on the grey wire on the dcc rca plug to the power board. I’ll have to check on that. Not sure why it stopped again.
Is it possible to replace rca plugs?

Hi Stephen, You have me lost-"what's "oval" ?- that problem is simply the ground portion of the circuit, on those models ( NOT true of the models that use a SCC-3, or 4) ( or the wire itself) not making good contact-- those two models have three RCA plugs and jacks-- Use crocus cloth on the jacks, make sure the jumpers on the sockets are well soldered ( seen poor soldering there at times). You also can have a poor ground connection to the mechanism--inspect/tighten all grounds in the mech plug--replace the ground screw on the front of the mechanisms (DO NOT ATTEMPT to tighten that screw !).
