Hi All
Hoping someone may be able to help with a small issue of distortion/noise i experience when turning pages on my Rowe CD100E. Only seems to be the right top speaker and only when turning pages in one direction i have some "fuzzy" noise through the right hand speaker.
I have tried earthing everything in the area, Cleaned connections on the title page motor and checked the speaker. I have also tried to separate the wiring to the title motor and the speaker from each other but still have the noise.
Thanks in advance for any help John

Hi John, Install a .01x100 ceramic cap, and/or a torrid anti-static protector, onto the motor wires, at the motor. Oil the bearings. If that motor is a type that you can get to the brushes, re-dress, or replace them-- clean the commutator. If that don't "do it"--check the motor drive for a broken off, or bad cap--replace the motor. Check the R channel ground from the cart thru the whole system-see the common Rowe problems sticky above. Hi Ron
Firstly thank you for your prompt feedback, unfortunately the motor cannot be dismantled to clean but I have sourced some 0.1uf capacitors. Correct? Do I just place across the two terminals of the title motor? I also have another 2 to place across the upper speaker terminals (if you would recommend this?) Thanks again for your help John

Hi John, Yes on the cap on the motor--no, on the speaker. Did you try using the computer to change that motor's speed going right ?--Do not allow it to be set so fast that it "torques" the pages on start up, or the pages will split at their support post(s). Ron Rich

Hi Ron
Tried the Cap unfortunately no difference, changed the motor speed and again no difference. Checked grounding but failed to find anything of concern. May have to try replacing the motor, if I can source one. Thanks for your help, appreciated. Learning a little more every day. John

Hi John, How loud is it--all Rowe's and some RockOla's suffer from this to some degree-- Can you hear it over the music ? Or, do you only hear it when standing close ? Check the caps on the motor drive--And the plug/header connector, on it !! Ron Rich.
