Hi all, I'm more of a tube radio guy, however I've always wanted a jukebox. Given that I know almost nothing about them other than the amplification system, what would be considered a good price for a Rockola ST39 for sale on Craigslist. It doesn't work, though the wood and catalin seems to be in good condition. The wood doesn't seem to be damaged, just could possibly use some refinishing. It's missing some of the push buttons on the front and the (what I'm assuming is silkscreen) red cover over the player has several large flakes missing.
Overall, the unit has been sitting since the early 70's and appears as such. It'll need a total restoration to get back to a decent condition.I wanted to get a sense of price from the people who know best. Thanks, Zach

Hi Zach, Might have a price range, if I knew what an "ST39" was ?? Is this the counter top 78 rpm player from about 1939? Ron Rich

Sorry, was following a model number I had seen around. It's a Rockola Standard Luxury Light-Up C-Series ST39. Or at least that's what it says on radiomuseum

Hi Zach, OK--found it, you are correct--"ST 39" is the model number--As with anything that old--"condition,condition,condition"-- from $300.00, to $3000.00---- Ron Rich

Hi Zach,
I paid $1000 for my ST-39. It has near perfect wood, good catalin, and is complete with coin but is currently inoperable. There's a guy on eBay from Canada who has a huge variety of repro jukebox buttons. You must like catalin because the ST-39 may have some of the largest single pieces ever manufactured. This is a pretty juke that in my opinion is under-loved.

Unfortunately, the guy was firm at $2500, and considering the amount of work it would have needed, I passed on the unit. Thanks for everyone's replies. I'll keep my eyes peeled for any other potential jukeboxes for sale near me, I'm a fan of the prewar jukeboxes, like the Wurlitzer 700 and 800 or like this Rockola. Thanks all, Zach
