Hi - I bought a Rowe R-94 a couple weeks ago and was able to play records endlessly in freeplay mode. The other day it returned a record to the carousel and went idle, but the display continues to show that it's "currently playing" that track and I'm unable to play a new record.
It was showing "error 36" which I've read has something to do with a problem with the cancel/reject mechanisms. I've tried checking around, securing/cleaning the two cancel switches and gently looking around the magnetic reed switch near the tonearm, but I don't really know what I'm doing and hoping someone can steer me in the right direction or shed light on this.
Thanks! -Scott

Hi Scott, Did you try shutting off the power and re-starting it ? Do you have the Service Manual ? If not, see our FAQs section for a suppliers list-- Look at the MCC-- What is it "saying" (which LED's are lit ?). Ron Rich

Hi - yeah, I've shut the power off, unplugged even for quite a while - I've tried everything I could find to try to reset the selections, gone back-and-forth from normal mode vs. continuous 'free' play (it will change but in either mode it always shows track 100 is currently playing and I can only load selections in a queue that never happens.) I've cleared error codes...
I do have the manual but it's a bit hard to digest - this is my first jukebox and I don't know a heck of a lot about electronics, but maybe I'll make some headway as I read thru it...
Thanks for getting back!

Is the MCC the panel beneath the turntable? None of the lights are on but the 'cancel' light lights up when i press the cancel button.

Scott, Yes--that's the MCC-- check the transfer motor clutch--is it in the run or coast position--check the two transfer motor cam switches--is one of them actuated (it should be !). By any chance, is this a "combo" phonograph ? Ron Rich

See photo - The button towards the top is out and I can push it and it sorta springs in and out as it seems it should. The white plastic piece that rotates is pressed down on one of the two buttons on the red thing below it. if i nudge the white piece it will cause the gripper arm to go through pulling a record out, setting on the turntable, the tonearm goes into position to play, but then immediately everything goes back to their home/idle positions. I notice all this happens while the white piece does a complete rotation until that same part of it comes back and pushes down the button on the red piece and everything stops (the button at the top is "in" while it rotates and shoots back out when everything stops.) And to be sure, the juke box still says it's 'currently playing' track 100 indefinitely.

Hi Scott. Those "red pieces" are Micro Switches-- You will need to check them--see our FAQs section -- the "button" , I think is the motor armature end, the white piece is the motor's cam. Ron Rich

Thanks rich - sorry I know I need to slow down a bit and try to understand the parts better - there's just so many hours in the day and I'm so eager to get it fixed - I'm having trouble following the directions when I have to research just about every word! haha. Anyway I appreciate the help and will keep plugging away and be more specific with issues from here on.
