Years ago I bought a few pounds of coin op keys from a couple of "Pickers" that we knew. They came from out of business coin machine operators in Arizona and surrounding States. I was surprised to find a few keys from Jerome, Arizona. These were for coin op devices and games. Jerome is now a large ghost town in Arizona. Built on the side of a mountain, it was home to many copper miners and their families. When the copper ore ran out the town was deserted. The early 1950's was probably the years when it was a wild, wild place. Plenty of bars and all that came with them. Today an artist community has taken part of it. The old hospital where about 90 patents died is haunted? Well, they claim it is! I think it has been made into a hotel and one can sleep in the patient's old rooms. It is all fancied up now and welcomes guests. Maybe all the ghosts are friendly old miners?
