I have a 1974 454. Sometimes called the Star Trek model...although to me its more of an early 70's hippy/daze version.
Anyway, all was well for a while then I went on a long holiday and didnt use it at all for 6 months. Changed 50% of the records, hit play and yep it went slow. Took off the turntable and dribbled 3 in 1 everywhere and its now speeded up but its still a little out. I did have a lube chart link but that website has gone, sooooooo anyone got one??

Hi and Welcome, Please take a second to read our "posting rules" in the "User Introduction" section, and "Attn. Newbies" in our FAQs section-- The RockOla 400 series Lube chart is posted above, this post, as a red marked "sticky". As for the turn table-- probably will need to to remove masking tape--re-surface Idler wheel ( and replace that spring, if not original). "3 in One--",or "WD40" not recommended, for jukeboxes ! Use "3 in One MOTOR oil", only. SEE FAQs --again ! Ron Rich

OK have lubed it everywhere I should. The spring connecting the ? Idler wheel, that drives the turntable seems fine , BUT of course could be a tad stretched so wouldnt hurt being replaced OR just snipping a turn out..........dare I....AND most records play fine but a few a tad slow. ABBA just doesnt sound the same!
Waddyathiunk.
