What's a good replacement for the "Reset Letter Coil" circuit breaker on the 3100 junction module? It says 14 on the reset button. 14 amp I assume? That just seemed a but excessive.

First-- has that CB failed ?? I doubt it was "14 amps"-- that circuit was fused in earlier models at 4/10 amp, to 8/10 (don't re-call which). Ron Rich

Yes it's bad. The 14 is formed into the top of the button. A couple of suggestions I have herd from other forums is 1.4 amp (still too much in my opinion) and 1/4 amp. I have no history on this so I'm not even sure if it's even the original breaker. This is the old style bi-metallic breaker we used to see in TV's. I know 14 amp is way too much for that circuit and will probably replace it with a T520, just not sure of the value.
If nobody knows for sure I'll probably measure the current and add 20% or so.

Thanks again Ron. I did see that, I was just trying to narrow down your "don't recall which" to an exact.

A quick check of the earlier models (2700, 2800, 3000) shows they used an 8/10 amp fuse in that circuit. Since those selector circuits are virtually identical to the 3100, that's what I would go with.

Hi Marty, Thanks for the memory up-date ! Those circuits are NOT 'virtually identical", they are identical ! Ron Rich
