Varco cartridge...ceramic or magnetic?

Hi all...new to the forum--so glad to have found it.

I have two Seeburg boxes, an L100 and a KS200. The L100 has a Varco replacement cartridge. I've switched them out and output (to my ears) is very similar, which leads me to believe that the Varco is magnetic like the Seeburg redhead. But I've read online that the Varco is ceramic. Anyone know for sure? Thanks.

I believe Varco/Vaco brand carts were non-magnetic--I am not sure, but I think, SOME of the later versions were internally modified to reduce the out put down to the mag level. Ron Rich
