Hi (once again),
I have my Wurlitzer 1100 up and running well. Sounds good and selects well.
I have a minor problem with the volume. It tends to fad away with use. However, when I wriggle the volume key, it returns to where it should. I assume the issue is within the volume control pot.
I have looked at the 'pot' and it's wiring and it appears OK.
Are these servicable or should I look for a replacement? They are not cheap to buy.
Regards Gordon...

Gordo, This is usually a dirty pot-- BEST cleaner I have found for this problem is Deoxit-5-- follow can instructions, exactly, for best results !

I second Ron's diagnosis. Sometimes, you can simply rotate the volume control through its range numerous times. With each turn, the noise should diminish until it goes away. If, after doing that, or following Ron's advice, and the volume still drops out, look for other problems in the volume control unit. That could be any of the components being intermittant, or even a cold solder joint.

Fixed !!
Thanks guys.
I had some Deoxit left over from advise previously provided by Ron. Sprayed it and worked it a few hundred times. It now works smooth, no crackle when I adjust the volume and no longer fading volume.
Cheers
Gordon..
