Hope someone can help me out. I've had this Wurlitzer NY NY for about 15 years and the cd player stopped reading CD-Rs; it still plays commercially recorded CDs, but not the ones I recorded and placed on it the years. After some deep web searches I've come to the conclusion that I need to upgrade my CDM-3 to a CDM-Pro. Anyone have any experience doing this?
Thanks, Tom

Hi Tom, It was not easy when WurliTzer GMBH, offered an update kit-- Doubt it would be fun today ! And don't know if an update will solve your problem !(been told that "reproduced" CD's are "not supposed to play" ??) See our FAQ's section for "John in Canada", and others in Germany and elsewhere for more info on them-- rON rICH

Hi Ron,
Thanks for getting back to me. Yeah, I'm kind of confused about that issue right now. I've got a message into John Robertson, haven't heard back from him yet. I'm thinking of going with a straight swap of the CDM3 to a CDM pro. My CDM3 played the recorded CD-Rs just fine up until just recently. Some won't play at all and some come out with a jumble mixture of tracks and high pitched squealling through the speakers. I've cleaned everything but no joy with the CD-Rs.
