Seeburg 1956 Discotheque PFEA1U Speaker spec.
Hi,
I am after the specification for the 2 x 12 inch speakers for this machine, mine are absent. I picked up a few clues that they may be 5 ohm impedance? I have collated some information that they are "SPEAKERS UTAH WOOFER 12 INCH 5 OHM #489846" Can anybody here confirm this spec?
And... I need a pair for my restoration in England, btw I don't mind if I have to paint/re-cone them. :-) Thanks in anticipation.

Hi Paul, Well, The "PFEA" series phono's were made for the 1965 model year (a typo, I assume ?) They were never called a "Discotheque". The PFEA1U did have a sign in the window that said "Discotheque", but the model name was "Electra". It's sister model, the APFEA1 had anther display there and was called a " Fleetwood". A U-100D model was also made that year and was called, a "Discotheque". Yes, all of the 12 in speakers Seeburg used from 1965 ( solid state amps) till the end, were 5 ohm units. I would check the list of used parts sellers in the FAQ's above, for a pair ( I don't re-call the part number, and don't have that parts book here--they were painted that "lovely pink colour" found all over that model).
