Everyone, I hope this thread doesn’t violate any of Ron’s rules, so in the interest of transparency I’ll get this out of the way first: I am posting this as a request to anyone who feels they may have too many jukeboxes (if that’s possible!), needs a tax break, and would like to donate one of their jukeboxes to a very good organization/cause.
In short, my wife and I donate to a non-profit (501c3) in North-Central Minnesota that is looking to replace a jukebox, and I’m hoping that someone here can help them out with this.
Please have a look, and if this interests you in any way, or if you would like more information, PLEASE feel free to get in-touch with me!
Thank you.
Jim
P.S. I will delete this post, or ask Ron to delete it, upon succesful completion, or at the end of the year- whichever comes first.

Okay.....So this is going over like a fart in church..... But I get it, people. I really do! So how about Plan B: Instead of a fully-functioning jukebox, does anyone here have a non-functioning, but CLEAN and/or RESTORABLE jukebox that they would be willing to donate? I don’t know how donations work elsewhere, but here in Minnesota, the donor gets to claim the value of a donation (for tax purposes), so what happens between you and the IRS, stays between you and the IRS! (wink, wink) As before, the donation would go directly to One Heartland (see original post for link), and I would just make the introductions and pick-up (and repair &/or service) the jukebox for them. Now, my knowledge base with jukeboxes is limited to mid-50's Rockolas, and depending on condition, I may have enough parts here to get a 1448/1452/1454 up and running for a while (so obviously that would be MY selfish first choice). However, since "beggars can't be choosers", if someone has a nice, clean, 45 RPM jukebox OF ANY MAKE (with visible mechanism) that needs a little TLC they would be willing to donate, please let me know!
(Only problem with a non-RO juke is that I'd probably tie-up a lot of Ron's bandwidth here with stupid questions!) Anyway, I don't care about amplifiers and the like, as for the sake of servicing (this place is 2 hours from my house), I'll probably replace the tube-based electronics with SS devices (amp and pre-amp). So......Anyone? Happy Holidays, all! Jim
