I'm trying to figure out how to make the remote power switch work, I have remote volume and cancel but for the life of me I can't get the remote power switch to function. Is there a special add on controller like the rockola's need? This is about as far as I got with the service manual

H Clint, I am not 100% sure I recall this correctly--I am thinking that a "jumper" needed to be changed in the power supply box, and / or you needed an add-on box which contained a 24 vac transformer and a relay ? It's not legal in most places, to run 117 vac outside the phonograph--- Ron Rich

I was lucky enough to find what I needed to do this on my Rockola and source the parts, but this AMi has no mention of what else is needed.

Hi Clint, It can be done with a 25vac xformer,a relay, and a switch--done did that a million times-well, almost. Wire the 25 vac relay to the transformer--cut the relay power with the outside switch, wire the relay contacts, to interrupt mains power, or just power supply power--whatever you want --- Ron Rich

I can make it happen, I just want to do it with original components. I'm sure the 80's stuff is just junk to most people, but I still like to keep things as original as possible.

I think the manual for a CD51 jukebox shows remote power on-off setup.

I'm talking about a wired remote, not wireless and the one in the manual for the R-87 is 3-06322-11. My problem is I can't get it to work and I don't know if there's a add in relay box or some wiring that needs to be switched around. Every Jukebox I have, it seems that any info for wired remotes and wallbox connections if fairly obscure. I would have never been able to figure out the Rockola remote power if it wasn't for a unit I got that still had the parts list decal inside the back panel. If you searched the part number (which turned out to be a kit number) you would only find the volume control motor, but after some research it turned out the kit number was for 3 pieces.

Hi Guy's R-87 to CD 51 ( or any CD model), is a "long jump"-- anyway, as far as I know Rowe, did not do as Seeburg did and print an "Accessory" units parts catalog. Ron Rich
