Got a rockola legend that I can't get to scan. I just got the power supply serviced and back from the shop. The motor gear that turns moves the gripper arm seemed to be locked up.It would move just a hair or to,so I figured it may need lubrication.
Yes,the gripper assembly was in terrible shape. So I did a lube on it and freed it up and also had to reinstall the gripper gears.Luckly I had a 7000 I could look at for referance.
Anyway, now it doesn't even move a hair. I don't see any leds lit up on board at any time.
So I don't know what to look at first.Made sure all plugs were seatted and double checked everything.Seems someting might have "opened" on the board.Fuse is good.
Also, when I operate the page turner,it works great going from left to right. Going right to left it almost slams the pages. It's definately a differant speed in the one direction. Is there a cap or something like that, that controls the speed ?
Any help is appreciated

If that gripper was bound up, what was causing it ? I was taught that the "plastic type gripper assembly's needed no "lubrication" of any kind"? What did you use for "lube" ? Can you turn the gripper motor (with the power off !) by hand ? If so, be sure the gripper is fully in it's "parked" position. Ron Rich

I used the same motor oil I have for the motors for lube. It was indead in need of lube. I have a 7000 that I had to lube as well.2 drops did it on that. The 6000 I took out of the cabinet and worked on it. I lubed all the moving parts on the record gripper. I worked the mech till it was free and no more tightness.I had dropped the gripper motor to work the mech. It was kept in a carport so I'm thinking it was the weather. It is "very" humid here in louisiana. The machine worked 100% when I sold it several years ago and it just sat in this guys carport. I can't find anybody to service or sell boards.

I got this down to mech control board not getting power. The control unit was just checked and serviced from rockola. Power supply has all 3 leds lit.Something in the rectifier board( I prussme) is not functioning. The control unit is botting up properly to indicate it's sending signal to power supply. The voltage is just not getting turned on. Hmmm....
