Chicago Coin Band Box

Someone has listed a really nice looking Chicago Coin Band Box speaker on Ebay.  I found it while doing a search for Wurlitzer.  The Ebay item number is 323998398327 or just search for Wurlitzer jukebox.  It is a really nice one.  I've been aimlessly fooling around with jukeboxes since about 1972 and have never seen a Band Box in person.  Made by Chicago Coin but I suppose they added Wurlitzer in the title since few people look for Chicago Coin Items.  The small musician figures move when the music plays.  Reproduction parts used to be available, as I remember.   Be nice to have but a lot too pricey for me, especially at this very old age!

I am almost finish with my restoration of a 52-100 Chicago Coin's Band Box serial number 001. I just need to finish the 4 band stands and the curtains. Original cabinet, castings, motors, wiring etc. Redone using the Chicago Coin's western background print and a famous Mexican singer. I will be posting it on youtube when finished... Sure glad I bought mine 15 years ago and all the parts need for restoration back then.....They are cool to have but are very over priced for what they are, just like everything else, like Wurlitzers jukeboxes........

I would guess that "over priced" would depend on how one looks at it ! What are you going to want for this one ? If done correctly, hours of time have to be paid for-- along with the time you sent scrounging up partz, and you skill at re-producing something that few can re-produce ! Ron Rich
