I'm curious if anyone has adapted any of their jukeboxes for a wireless remote volume? I've seen a few potentiometers on small DC boards with remotes and thought that would be fun to tinker with. I know not needed, but is doable?

Rowe makes a wireless remote volume control for the CD-100 series as well as the current internet model jukeboxes.

Hi Guyz, I sure don't see how it would be "very do-able", nor why 1970 would make any difference on most US made boxes ? On the wireless control itself--- If you were an "operator" of jukes, you would be very foolish, IMHO, to offer a location a hand-held wireless volume control. It became the source of many a service call-- "lost" unit-fell into the sink- washed in the dishwasher-- dead batteries--fell on floor--stepped on-- I had two locations where the owners insisted on the wireless-- I wired in a control but gave them the wireless on a promise that they, not I, would pay for any service/replacement that control caused. Both owners agreed. Within a few months ( one after purchasing two replacement control units--the other after three), both owners came to independent agreements, that the wall control worked "just fine" ( and they did till both locations closed )! We had a location where the customers would swipe the wireless remote and take it home thinking it was a "universal" remote which would work their tv set.
Rowe's wireless remote has an unmarked button that gives free credits. Didn't take long for the locations to abuse that feature.

You can use something like a PGA2311 and gain volume and tone control in the process while staying under the cost of a motor driven unit.
