I'm going through my jukebox and my slug rejector was pretty dirty only accepting quarters and I went through and cleaned it up like recommended here on the board soaked it in soapy hot water. That did the trick and I got all the coins working perfectly except the half dollar.
I did some additional cleaning with a pipe cleaner and it seemed to work perfectly for a few times a row and then it would hang up. I finally realized every time Kennedy's head was towards the back of the slug rejector it went through perfectly when it was facing me it got caught up every time.
Honestly this really isn't much of an issue and I will admit I only have one 50-cent piece to run through it. I can't see any imperfections on it but was just curious if other people had encountered this?

Always try several different coins. You never know when you'll get one that is ever so slightly different.

I picked up four more half dollars at lunch. No visible defects on any. Three out of the four accepted both directions, one wouldn't accept either direction.
Thanks for the tip of checking out other coins. It seems like this slug rejector is kind of picky on its half dollars. One that worked every time was a bicentennial half dollar, so that didn't make any difference either.
