Proper way to clean a motor?

I thought I came across this but now I can't find it. My turntable motor on my 3700 series Wurlitzer seems to run a little slow. There may still be other issues but I thought a thorough cleaning of the motor certainly wouldn't hurt.

I have never done this and I've never had a motor that has a lubrication tube so that's foreign to me too. If it was discussed please refer me to that thread I can't seem to find it now.
