Hi Luke, Are you sure-- CDM-3's were probably last made in about 1992 ! --no parts available for them -- Testing ? To whom ? and from the sound of it, you problem is in the mech controller-- did you check the plugs--any burnt connectors--any getting "hot" (careful--they can get hot enough to burn skin !) Ron Rich

Luke, I dono how anyone can still claim to fix an item as old as that, without a parts supply-- I used to rebuild them, but have long since run out of parts. As it sounds now, they may just be cleaning/tweaking them-- this may, or may not last too long - I think the problem you describe is the top (gray) ribbon cord going to the mech controller. Check the one on the top right, closest to the rear wall of the cabinet for heat.Ron Rich

the amp is a 61024902, it also has a white sticker by the model number MV-7573 That white sticker means the amplifier was serviced by long time Seattle Rowe jukebox distributor, Music-Vend Distributing 1550 4th Ave South in Seattle. They are now gone being eventually bought up by Mountain Coin then by Betson who promptly closed it and moved the office to Portland, Oregon as a Betson branch office.
Music-Vend had a great service department and a well-stocked parts department. The company was owned by Ray Galante and his son, Marvin. They hosted several Rowe jukebox service clinics over the years. Music-Vend was also the area's Williams and Gottlieb pinball distributors along with Arachnid English Mark dart boards.

Did not find anything obviously wrong on the board, check all connections and reseated them, Played unit for 4 songs, first very clear to fourth complete static
Just throwing this out there, would it make sense to find a newer carousel and cdpro player and change it over? Would the ccc need to be changed? Crossover?
Thank you

Luke, Six of two, half dozen of the other-- Phillips made all of the players Rowe, and other juke box makers used-- Phillips no longer supports ANY, CD player. Did you touch the plugs while playing-- If none are hot, open the mech control and remove the Phillips board--re-solder the area that has the heat burn on it--that often will "fix" this problem--- On the CCC, I'm not sure--you have a very early one-- I always up dated them, when up dating to a newer player--but you may not need to ?? Hello Luke,
If you decide to upgrade to CDM-12 or CD Pro you have to convert or replace the power supply (junction box) these two lasers require a 9 volt dc supply unlike the 8 volt that was used on CDM-3 & CDM-4.

I just wanted to say thanks for the help, pulled the mech control and had it looked at, was told there was suspect diodes and solder, ordered a board on eBay and installed and it’s playing like it should be. I’m very appreciative of all the experience here and the willingness to help Thank you
