Good evening,
Trying to help my cousin with his machine, it was from a bar in Washington and was told it was working there. Got it home and it didn’t play, did a reset and initialize and it now plays or spins the disc but no sound, followed the schematic and set wires back to the manual and removed the remote sound lead We had it start to play a song with sound and it acted like a breaker tripped and stopped playing, turned volume down and tried again it played a song but the top speakers are full of static, Tried to move wires to E5 and play again, back to no sound, moved back to E7 no sound, cannot get it to sound again, disc still spins in player I took a picture of the wiring but cannot attach it here, will try and figure that out Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated Luke

Hi Luke, Is this a "CD 100 (NO, other markings ?)" unit, or a CD-100 with another mark on the ID tag? Which model amp is installed ? Are you 100 % sure no other "speaker wires" are still (or were) attached when powered up ? You did correctly re-connect the rear of the cabinet volume control back up--(red/black wires) ? Ron Rich

Hi Luke, Did you check that local VC all the way back to the amp ?-- are you sure that the plug is correctly connected at the VC jack (easy to set it onto the adjoining jack !) ? No blown fuses--are they the correct 8 amp fast blow type--did you meter them ? Did you see any red LED's on the boards that have the fuses on them ? Ron Rich

the amp is a 61024902, it also has a white sticker by the model number MV-7573 they appear not blown, I did not meter them but can, fast blow? they looked different than a normal fuse, I did trace the VC back to the amp and removed the connectors and reattached them all. they did not appear to be corroded the VC seemed to make the static hum in the top speakers go up and down when you turned it

Hi Luke, Yep-- you do have "something else going on-- " Which CD player is installed in your phono--which mech. control ? Did you read the above sticky on common Rowe, plug problems ? Which power supply, and which CCC, is installed in it ? Ron Rich

I NEVER use the E7 taps. The maximum I ever set the amplifier power taps to is E6.
You should be using E1 and E6 on each channel if the only speakers you will be using are the jukebox's internal speakers.

Ken, Luke, I always use "E-7", on the CD amps--E-6 on the older amps-- see the service manuals ! Ron Rich

Ok, I have some numbers Ccc 40832201 v2.3 Oba 2 61038903 Ps 40770609 Amp 61024902
I cannot see the number on the box by the CD player and cannot seem to attach a picture from my phone
I noticed tonight the ground prong is missing in the plug in cord as well
We did play it, the first song is clear the 3 rd song the static overtakes the music and it is done
Thanks

Hi Luke, Just a guess--sounds as if either the Mech control is loosing power ( bad plug/header), or the DAC is dying. Mostly very early parts--probably still a CDM-3 player-- very early CCC-- second gen amp
