Everything works fine when selecting letters A through K but L through Z blows the 8/10 fuse. I have looked through the schematics but don't know why this is happening. I have cleaned all the switches on the selector keypad and ohm'd out all of number coils. Where are the letter coils located? I could only find the number coils.

See the "parts" section of your service manual--not sure of the layout of that model, but if my memory serves me well, letter coils are in the junction box--or maybe "electrical selector" ? Ron Rich

Yes, looks like there are 20 letter solenoids in the electrical selector. I'll have to start there but I hope that there aren't 10 bad solenoids!

I would guess not--look for a "common short" ? (Also, Maybe in the keyboard ??) Ron Rich

Well, I've made a little progress. I connected my wallbox and I get the same result. This would eliminate the jukebox keyboard being the issue. When I enter in one of the letters that isn't working, the relay in the stepper fires repeatedly and the fuse blows. Not sure where to look now. I'm guessing either a fault with the solenoids in the selector unit or relay in the stepper.
The voltage to the letter switch in the stepper is 33vdc when the fuse is good. When the fuse blows its at 52vdc.

Found the burnt letter coil. Also found a missing stop pin on the rotating gear plate. Anyone know where to find one?
