My rockola is running a bit too slow last weeks. I replaced the idler but it stays too slow. Now I see on the turntable motor housing two small copper tubes (3mm) bent in a 90 degree angle pointing upwards. The top is a bit wider. I wander if this could be for lubrication purposes and making it running a bit faster. Anyone an idea? Grease or machine oil? Thanks.

Hi Pat, See the (red-pinned) sticky above for a lubrication guide. Yes--those tubes ARE for OIL -- see the FAQ's section on "Lubrication"-- And, most likely the motor mounting grommets are shot--read the above sticky on "common problems with 400 ---" Ron Rich
