When loading a CD, the lid arm action is somewhat violent, banging the back wall, and shaking the CD chassis. In contrast, when it is getting ready for the removal of a CD, nice and slow action. Is there some adjustment that can be made ? Hope so. Thanks

Is this phono new to you, or have you had it a long time and just noticed this situation ? I have never seen this problem-- but from thinking about it, my guess would be it's a "lubrication" problem of some nature, as both the function of placing and removing the CD are using the same motor, gears and the like. Look at the gears---did someone "load them" with a grease that has turned to "glue", or are they "dry". Has the phono been oiled recently--INCLUDING that motor ? Ron Rich

Had the machine since early 90’s. Can you recommend or know of someone in the Pittsburgh, Pa area that can service the Wurlitzer OMT CD unit?
