Sorry Gar, Just one of "those days" remove the BO/AC plug from the control center--jump pins 2-6-7-8 together, in the CC.

Ron, I find that pins 2,6,7 have wires that lead to a destination. Pin 8 has no wire connected. Am I to connect all 4, regardless that 8 has no wire, and by connecting all four it connects as one unit to the cc?

Jump into the female socket on the cc--remove the connector to the BO/AC--Yes--daisy-chain these wires Ron Rich

After by passing BO/AC 2-6-7-8 pins, the select L. P. and single select lamps lit. The latch solenoid energized but the letter an number will not latch in and the selection accumulator motor starts and will not stop running . I can not find a 85 ohm 5 W resistor to replace the one that maybe bad.

What makes you think the resistor is bad ? ( if getting very hot--it's doing what it should ) Sounds as if you either have a dirty keyboard, or "someone" has been "adjustin"-- Ron Rich

Hi Gar, Who knows ?? My guess (hope ?) would be, you are reading the service manual as if the phono was new-- Remember, these manuals were usually written PRIOR to the release of the equipment. The person writing the manual was working with clean, non-rusted equipment, and thus wrote it as such. I ASSUME that one or more of the "pivot points" has "rusted up" --- Ron Rich

Just a quick question. Was everything working when the BO/AC was hooked up BEFORE you jumpered the wires?

No . the safety switch arms were bent over,i have straightened them and now the service switch in the on position works. I can load and scan now .

Gar/Marty, This wold make no difference as the BO/AC only does exactly what the jumpers have done--enable the latch solenoid and the select lamps. Ron Rich
