Volume 'jumpy" after playing for a while on Rock-Ola 5500

Hello!

Hoping I can get some help here. My Mum has a "Rock-Ola Model 5500 Rocket CD Phonograph" and its starting to play up a bit in terms of volume. She had it going for a couple of hours then the volume started to get quiet and silent, then back to normal, then low, then silent, etc. etc. We turned it off and ran it again today and so far its been aright (after about 45 mins). Does anyone know what would be causing this?

This can be "caused" by many things-- a (going) bad player, a poor connection somewhere in the audio chain, an amplifier going bad, or a loose connection somewhere-- To trouble shoot, one should have an O'scope, but you can try re-seating all connectors-- may help- ?? Ron Rich
