Is the top portion of the Capri 2 (the portion with the tweeters) removable for transportation? I would not mid having to disconnect things since I would be doing a full restoration anyway.
The top speakers are referred to FULL DIMENSIONAL STEREO SOUND and was sold as an option on the Capri 2 so I would think they should be easy-ish to remove...
The unit would be a but too tall to stand up during transportation. I could not figure out for sure from the available pictures on the internet nor any service manual I currently have. There seem to be an access panel with screws below the head.
Thanks

Hello, Just wondering if you have come across any parts in your travels or have a parts machine yourself, Iam in Vancouver BC and just received my Grandfathers Rockola Capri 2, I need the main piece of curved glass as mine has a crack and would love to get the optional speakers up top as it sounds like yours has, Thanks

I recently transported the Capri II I picked up in London Ont area and brought to my home in Picton. No issues but i did have to taje it off in driveway as it was too tall for garage door. I wrapped it twice with moving blankets then with tarps then strapped it in. All good but i did stay off of the 130kph 401 to minmize the wind pressure. I do not have glass for you. I too am trying to determine why my upper speakers are dead and how to replace them. I am entirely new to jukeboxes but having fun restoring it. Robert.

Hi Robert, Inside the upper speaker box, there is an L-Pad control - make sure it's not set to minimum.

Hi Robert, An L-Pad is a special configuration of potentiometer that adjusts the output to the loudspeakers while maintaining the correct loudspeaker impedance. You will be able to identify it in the manual.
