Rowe/AMi JAN/Diplomat carousel alignment

Have found in service manual the 2 screws that need loosed on the nylon gear to center the record basket. 

Question is.....Do I have to remove the search unit in order to access this gear? 

We all know how touchy the edge connector is......and it's currently working....really don't want to mess with it......might not work once I try to slip it back on..........I could go on and on with reasons not to remove the edge connector.

Hi Rich,
I have been able to reach those screws, with an open-end 1/4 inch wrench (providing someone has not changed their style)-- CAUTION--Do NOT tighten them too tight--they will strip !!
