Don't know how to advise you-- I would say the answer depends on your ability to READ the service manuals-- do not rely on You Tubes, as they are OFTEN, very, wrong ! If you have the mechanical, and electrical skills needed, you may enjoy that phono-- I know I would not like to own it ! Ron Rich

The 1500 group of phonographs has (had) a reputation for not being very reliable. They seem to need constant attention. As a collectible, they are unusual looking, played 45 and 78's intermixed, and held 52 records playing both sides, but as a practical machine, they won't play as reliably as other choices. Also, the Radionic needle/cartridge assembly is very difficult to find anymore. Hopefully, this will be a helpful critique. Cheers, Russie

Russie, The "Cobra Radiotronic" is easy to find-- it ain't real good on stereo 45's, but is, or has been, recently reproduced-- see our FAQ's section suppliers list. Ron Rich
