Hey guys I just got this jukebox from my parents. They had it for years and it worked fine up until a few years ago and it ended up sitting until I picked it up a few weeks ago.
Symptoms are when you select something the selector makes the selection but fails to start the mechanism. I bought a service manual and started troubleshooting. Right off I noticed that the record carrier does not want to turn like it should by hand. I found that both record lift arms are sitting much to high and thats why it wont turn. The manual has a lift arm retracted adjustment but this is not just a little off it seems like they are way too high. Plus the mechanism is on the front side and I dont see any easy way to access it without pulling out the whole assembly. I dont see any easy way to pull the front off to access it.
Also I see the manual is talking about a service switch and I cant find it anywhere inside.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Travis, RTFM-- the service switch is located on the right side of the cabinet. I would suggest that you NOT power it up, till you are able to clear the jammed lift arms ! Look for a broken, or "welded" leaf in the mute/play, and transfer switches. Look for a blown fuse-- do not replace it till you find the problem, as you will just blow another one ! See our FAQ's section for "over-center switches" and "contact" cleaning. Ron Rich

And I just spotted the cause. The bar on top that would pull the leaf over is broken. Any suggestions on how to fix? Or should I try and find a replacement.

Travis, I have never been able to repair one of these-- but if I see correctly, it appears the left end of the actuating bar has broken off--If that's correct, how about using a light string, wrapped around the leaf switch, and glued to the actuator ? Ron Rich
