Hello!
I have a Rockola 490 that is down at the moment (Need to replace some caps on the control unit... but I digress...)
While its down I am working on other general maintenance items.
When the player arm lowers on to the record, I feel like the head of the arm is close or almost touching the record. I replaced the needle a few years ago thinking that might do the trick, but it's still a little too close for comfort for me.
Is there an adjustment that I can do that will increase the distance the player arm head is from the surface of the record?
Thanks!
Jeremy

Hi Jeremy, Gottem the Service Manual ? Should tell you if, where, and what, the "adjustment" should be "set at"---Gottem the CORRECT OEM needle ? One would think it's OK, if no one messed with the adjustment--however I dono if there is an "adjustment", nor do I know if the "replacement needle" you have, has a correct length cantilever ? Aftermarket needles tend to famously have cantilevers that are too long--- Ron Rich
