My Wurlitzer 2610 does a short machine-gunning sound from the latch solenoid when I make a selection. It doesn't happen every time. I've adjusted the letter and number latch switches. Any ideas about the cause?

Is this phonograph jury rigged to play for "free" ? If not, is it removing more then one credit at a time ? Either way, I would check the cancel credit operation -- something "sticking" ? Ron Rich

It is rigged for free play and plays one at a time. I adjusted the letter and number series and latch switches and the control switch according to the manual. Mostly ok but machine-gunning sometimes for 1-2 seconds. Which switch di you think could be sticking or our of adjustment?

No idea--How's it been "rigged" for coin less play ? Ron Rich

Rigged for free play by rerouting the spring in the coin unit (play-rac)

I would suspect a relay contact, or the "key switch" contact not making well, as I have never seen this type rigging causing any problems ? Ron Rich
