Thanis for making the new forum happen!
I have a 222 Seeburg restored about ten years ago. It has been upgraded to the shfa 5 amp and works perfectly. I have wired it to my whole home audio amp using the channel 1 and 2 cv speaker outputs through a RCA convertor. Sound is not bad, but wondering if there is a better way. I have read that perhaps tying it in through the mute plug could be a possibility.... What position should the yes or no switch be in (the one that asks wheher there are cv speakers in the same room) and what exactly does it do? I have also wired in a prvc -2. There is no 25v dc terminal on the record reject terminal strip, so I just used a 24 volt transformer and wired it in.....is there a 25 V DC terminal anywhere on the machine that I can tie into? Sorry for being long winded and thanks in advance.

Hi Ryan, I have no idea what an "RCA converter" does--never saw one ? Never thought of tying thru the mute plug--that would give you a mute function and the direct cart out put-- would need to study the schematic--As for the PRVC, The SHFA-4 and -5's should have a 25 vdc source, as the PRVC was an optional feature--see the schematic in your service manual ( also I think that manual had PRVC instructions in it ?) The switch on the Xover is also covered in the Service Manual--( available at Victory Glass) Ron Rich

Thanks for the reply....I am probably using the wrong terminology, it is a "speaker level converter" that converts speaker output to RCA output. (see picture). The PRVC 2 instructions show it being wired to a 4 terminal strip on the tormat unit. The 222 that i have only has a 3 terminal strip. The service manual for the jukebox shows the remote volume control for the older style rvc. I have the schematic for the SHFA 5 but can't see a 25v line on it. I was a little confused about the switch as I don't always run the jukebox through the whole home speaker system. Will having the switch set to yes if not using the external speakers cause any issues (other than bad sound)? Thanks

Sorry Ryan, I have no idea what that "converter" is able to do/not do? Would need to read instructions at minimum -- The 25 volt dc, for the PRVC was taken from the rectifier in the Tormat Selection Unit (TSU)(NOT "Tormat" !) with the introduction of the PRVC-1 type volume control--see the schematic for best pick-off point. If you would READ the crossover, you would see that the switch should only be used when "Twin CV Speakers " are connected.
