Restoring a Wurlitzer 1600. Need help. Have everything working now except when I push the selection it just makes a bussing sound (More like clicking). I can get it to work by tripping one of the pins in the bak. Any suggestions on where to start.

Hi Ken, Are you using coins ? If not, watch out, as that "buzzing", if a selection coil, could indicate a coil burning up ! You will need to look at the schematic-- find out what, if anything, "someone's" done to the circuit--fix it, and figure out why a "pin" is not being released. Ron Rich

Hi Ron I am using coins. Put in a quarter and get three plays. When you push the selection it buzzes and uses one play it just does not select the pin. It was working originally but with only an occasional miss. Now it is all the time.

Hi Ken, I don't know the 1600's operating system-- You will need to determine what you are "hearing" and what you should see. I would guess that either the keyboard is not making good connections, or if there is a fuse in that circuit, it's open, or a relay contact is not conducting as it should. Ron Rich
