Hi all,
Looking at a very dirty machine, I'm thinking about using an ultrasonic cleaner I got access to to clean the metal parts (screws, carousel, perhaps even open up the selection mech and clean the browned outer sides).
Does anyone have experience cleaning in this fashion?
Kind regards,
Kevin

Hi Kevin, Some-- What brand/model phono is this--I would refrain from using it on anything with insulated wires in/on it. Check painted areas-- it may remove paint ! Ron Rich

Years ago I picked up a VHS showing the overall cleaning of a 1954 Seeburg 100R. Mike "Zoo" Carrol was the host, has anyone heard of this? Main reason for asking is that I would like to know the best way to really go in and clean a mechanism. My M100C is getting gummy cosmetically too. Also, mine has a lot of grease etc on the gears including the clutch worm gear.

Hi Edison, It' Mike Zaccaro, and he may still sell that guide--You can look him up in the Always Jukin "repair persons" list in our FAQ's dept. Also, my "Seeburg Mechanism Guide" describes my method of cleaning them. Contact me at : ronnnrich@yahoo, if you wish to purchase a copy. Ron Rich
P.S. Mike's in San Diego CA, USA (Please tell him "Hi" from me)
