Can anyone enlighten me as to why AMI jukes of the 50's and 60's - possibly more - were wired so the DC circuits never shut off when the main on/off switch was in "off"? I always rewire mine so they do turn OFF! Seems really odd to me that they did that for so long. Thanks in advance!

Hi Frank, As far as I know/ remember, the amp remained "hot" on all AMi's and Rowe's thru the CD units, so the amp could be used with a microphone (think "Pizza place"-- "order number 69 is ready !")-- but only on "domestic" units. Ron Rich
