Wurlitzer 3800 crackling sound on startup

Group just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. Working on a 3800 and when you first start it up you get a crackling sound out of the speakers but after about 10 minutes it seems to lessen / go away. Checked the mute circuit it's working fine. Looks as if someone has already recapped the amp so not sure where to look next.

Hi Rich,
Such a problem needs to be diagnosed by an "amp man", using a signal generator, and an O'scope. You might get lucky and find the culprit using "freeze spray"-- but I usually fail at that -- Ron Rich
