Recently my Rowe CD100 has stated developing static after about 15 minutes of play. I've cleaned the laser, CDs and tried it on many disks, but it seems to have no effect.
If I turn it off and back on again it is clear for about 5 minutes and then static again. It gets to the point that you almost can't hear the music.
Thank you for any thoughts.

Don't recall which CD player is in yours--try the following-- Isolate the amp by removing the two input connectors and the mute plug-- if your static appears after 15 or so minutes--you have amp problems ( Hum, if slight is normal) What are the two final numbers of the part number on your CCC, BOARD (not the cover ) ? Good morning Ron, my CCC is V4.3 and my CD player is 2.4.
I unplugged the phono plugs from the amp and had it powered on for 30 minutes with no humming (other than the baseline hum that is always present).
I plugged them back in and it was humming again.
I removed the plugs and cleaned the male/female connection and found that the static/hum was mostly (90%) coming from the left channel of the CD player. I tried a new cord and got the same issue.
Thanks again for all the advise!

UPDATE: I let it play for another 15 minutes and the static on the right channel overtook the music as well.
