Hello all.
I have an R-82 Black Magic. When I acquired my Jukebox the drive belt was off and the 45s were jamming the mech as well as some other small problems that were easily fixed. The jammed mech caused several of the bars/tines/slots of the carousel to bend in a set area and break a tooth of the nylon drive wheel with the 2 screws. After changing the wheel and straightening the carousel bars/tines/slots it stops slightly off and the tone arm cannot grab a record as the alignment with the tone arm is way off when it stops. The area is from 68 to 74. Is there a way to check if I have a slight bend in the carousel yet or something else bent still?

Hi Greg, When you say tone arm, I presume you mean gripper arm (or transfer arm)? If the area (68 to 74) was the area that was damaged by the jammed mech., then I think it's safe to say that you haven't got it quite right when you have made your adjustments. I think you really need to remove the carousel completely to do it because otherwise it's difficult to access the rear of the dividers. There is an adjustment to centre the gripper arm but if it's only an issue on a small section, it's not going to help. Norman.
