Hello. I was wondering if someone could help identifying the diodes (?) in the pictures. They are for the selection mechanism of my Rockola 444. As you can see they are cracked and need replaced but how do I know which diodes to order for replacement? I have a service manual but can't find anywhere in the manual that lists the specs of those diodes. Does anyone have any ideas? imageshack.com/i/pnsNnlaTjimageshack.com/i/pnvGy3vkjRegards, Tony

Hi Tony, Are there any other ID marks, other then the date code on them ? What type of circuit is this-- What does the parts list say ? Ron Rich

Ron, thanks for the reply. There are no other markings and the Service Manual that I have does not have a parts list. Actually it does have a parts list but it is only for the amplifier so that's no help. Probably need to find a parts catalog, eh?

No--- you will probably need to purchase a Service Manual PACKAGE from one of the legit sources, listed in our FAQ's section. Or you can try a 1N4007 diode--probably will work ? Ron Rich

So was able to find a digital scan of a parts catalog. Those are listed as "44875 Plastic Silicon Rectifier", but no specs. Does that change your suggestion at all?
By the way, I'm very amateurish at this so I apologize for any stupid questions.

Ain't no such thing as "stupid questions" ! I would try them--- Do you have the schematic of this section-- what/why are the diodes doing ? Ron Rich

Ron, if I'm reading the schematic correctly they're part of the selection system. I've take a pic of the part of the schematic that I believe shows these diodes/rectifiers. imageshack.com/i/poo2jtUVj

So I replaced the bad ones with the 007s, powered on the box and they smoked...

OK-- didja bother to determine what caused the original's to smoke first, before replacing them ? Gottabe a reason, which needs afixin' on ! Ron Rich

This thing has been sitting for 2 years and I couldn't quite remember what happened. All I could recall was that those diodes/rectifiers needed replace. Once I saw the smoke, I remembered.
I'm currently in the process of looking at the schematics and trying to figure out what could be causing this upstream.
Edit: Feel free to jump in with any suggestions lol
Edit 2: Lock Bar Selenoid is not getting energized when there are credits.
