Hello, I'm quite new to this forum. I have a United UPB 100, which I have restored cosmetically and have got working to a certain extent. There are a few issues though that I'm trying to work out.
First of which is that mainly on selections ranging between A-D, the solenoid plunger sometimes knocks out 2 pins at once (hits once inbetween 2 pins) , which results in 2 tracks playing back to back. I thought that maybe something might have become lose and un-allinged, but everything seems to be quite rigidly fixed in place, allowing no wiggle room. If you select the same option immediately after, it tends to work fine with only one correct pin knocked out, so any clues would be welcome.
Secondly, sometimes the selected pins aren't pushed back into place, resulting in the carousel constantly rotating. Again, no idea, but this doesn't occur so often.
Naturally I've cleaned the contacts and leaf switches thoroughly and I have got a copy of the manual, which I have have exercised without actually replacing any components.
I know it's not a particularly popular juke and being in the UK quite rare with not many people having worked on them, but I love it and would be so good to get these last few issues ironed out. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks, Pete
