Hi i have had this jukebox for a few months, i changed a bit on it that needed it like a new needle, new cartridge and it was good until now
what it does is after a while of playing and this can be anywhere from 1 hour to 30 minutes or more than a hour, seems like 2 channels suddenly drop out the bottom speakers i think, anyhow it sounds terrible. also when this happens i notice the power supply gets quite hot not burning hot but hot.
also previously if it is off for a while it plays good again until the next time. this time i have had had it off for 2 hours and the channels this time are not coming back.
so at this point i am stuck, when its working properly it plays really well
any help would be great thanks

i did read the sticky post about the connectors just now, but am not very technically minded and really not sure what i have to do to fix this, if there is somewhat of an easy fix that would be great. i would get a jukebox repair person here in Adelaide South Australia to do it, but basically there are not any. if i cant do it i would have to send it away for repair and that would be pretty hard to do. thanks for the help, i can do some tech things but i would need like an idiots guide on how to do it or a you tube video would work really well

Hi Mick, Don't know how to help any further, other then suggest you find "a new friend", that has some tech skills---- Would strongly suggest you not rely on "You tube", or the like, for "good" information ! See the sticky in our FAQ's section-- "Hi Newbies" --Ron Rich

Without the ability to repair it yourself, your options are to send your amp away to be worked on (possibly here in the states), or set up a watch on ebay for "rowe ami amp" and see if you can find a replacement that is in good working order. Many amps are sold "as is" though, and having been removed from jukes that have been parted out for whatever reason, you never know what you're getting. The field service manual sometimes lists amps that are compatible with your unit (plug-n-play), so you might try to find that info.
Ron is right tho... the external power supply is for the mech and computer, and the amp is a standalone unit that drives the speakers. It has its own power supply. It could be an issue in the supply, the amp drivers, or the preamp board, which are all contained inside the amplifier.
