Mick, the output on the T- redhead is somewhat lower than the home phono V15 and a lot lower than the original styli in the yellow ss-160+ carts. Impedance is in the 570-600 ohm/ch region and figure output is 1.5 to 2 mv with original styli. Given aftermarket styli, there is no reliable standard. After rebuilding I would just advise feeding a 1khz signal @ around 2mv strapped across both cart inputs and looking at the SHFA-x schem's here www.verntisdale.com/Seeburgschem.htm Then doing DC voltage measurements and aiming for balanced gain in both channels. Bear in-mind that the old volume pots in those amps often do not track well so overall gain balance should be judged with pot at max. and just reduce the input to prevent any clipping. Rob-NYC

Hi Rob, Nice to see you here ! Ron Rich Glad to see you in full effect as well. I would have preferred not to be considered an 'addict" for having signed up here tho. Collector, hobbyist or restorer would be better titles for this site. Rob

TONS of wallboxes (over 100) and external speakers.
I'am probably forgetting one or two..but you see where this leads...Watch out (or have a -lot- of space).
At the peak of my interest in the mid eighties through early 1990's I had 11 or 12 machines in the apt at once.
Most have been sold or on-location and I currently have only two at home (AMI "I" 200 and Wurl 1800)
Building staff used to cringe when they saw me with a truck and crew knowing that I'd tie up an elevator and, heavens, scandalize Mad Ave by washing them in the street ( I did try to do it at night).

wow - it's great to see you both, Rob and Ron, here on this forum. yeah, 'addicts' is kind of an unfortunate sounding name, but i have to admit, i did go through some withdrawals after the demise of Phonoland.com
Rob, i do remember you referring to yourself as a 'recovering' LPC user while helping me with mine.
they say the first step... nevermind.
my LPC-1 is finally sounding great, and is running quite smoothly. when i get home in the new year, perhaps i'll make a thread to wrap up all the loose unfinished ones i had over at Phonoland.
cheers all!, eric

Thank You Ron for getting this site started. I cannot recall all times and the great advice you have given me. I wish also to Thank You and Rob for all the help, in particular, with that Seeburg V. It continues to work well. I would not have taken much thought to sell it for parts until you guys "got er goin". I am sure people with machines will always appreciate a place where advice, discussion and fun is provided to keep these wonderful machines making music. David (In The Geritol Ghetto)
