Hi All,
Sorry to trouble you - my wife plugged the American 3 (3300) in yesterday, and after 3 records, it suddenly lost all power. I checked the plug and the neutral wires had come out of the connector.
I refastened the neutral wire and changed the fuse in the plug, but the jukebox is still completely dead.
I understand that there is a "House Fuse" and am assuming that it has probably blown?
Anyone point me in the right direction as to it's location please?

Neutral came out of where - wall outlet, or plug end of phono power cord ? There was a "fuse", in what "plug" -- and what type/size ?

Sorry for not making it clear - I live in England and we refer to the "wall connector" as a plug (13amp usually, but depends on the appliance.) - it has 3 wires from the flex/power cord plus a fuse inside it, and the brown "earth wire " had come loose inside.
I refastened it and replaced the 5amp fuse, but the phono is still dead, so I assume ( I have a service manual) that a fuse inside the phono (referred to in the manual as "House Fuse" ? has blown, but I'm having difficulty identifying it's location?

That's the reason you were asked via a PM, to fill in your country location, along with a name-- That's done here too- thus my question-- I have never seen a fuse in a "power cord" ? I also don't know why it would be blown, if just the "earth" ("ground" here in the US)being loose, would cause that, unless it touched the hot connection ? Are you sure you have power at the outlet ? If so, WurliTzers of that vintage had a main power fuse on the bottom of the amplifier in a fuse post. MY GUESS is that it should be a 3.2 amp fuse, for 240 volt service-- but in those days, it may have been a 7.5 amp fuse ( USA It was a 15 amp--120 volt service) L@ k at it and replace it only with the proper size and type-- or one of lesser amperage.
